GCSE and A Level
The focus in KS4 is to prepare students for GCSE exams. The intensity and workload increases which in turn puts a significant amount of pressure on students to achieve. In order to study for A’Levels, it is statutory for all 16 year-olds to have gained a minimum five GCSEs at grade 4-9, including English Language. If a grade 4 or higher is not achieved in Mathematics, it will need to be studied alongside A’Levels. A similar level of pass marks are also needed to be accepted for most apprenticeships.
A’Levels in KS5 will have been chosen by the student as subjects they may wish to go on to study at a higher level or those who feel they can use the knowledge they have gained in their future careers. It is therefore important all students are confident in the subject content.
Our teachers at Pace Tutoring can help if students need a little extra support. One to one lessons are perfect as they allow the teacher to tailor completely to the needs of the student. Taking extra time where needed, using different language to explain, or finding other examples in order to help the student to understand for themselves.
The pricing differs for each tutor. Average price is £47 for an hour lesson.
