“During my time as a Primary School Teacher, I have accumulated a wealth of experience…”

With over five years’ experience in a primary school setting, I am currently a Year 6 teacher and tutor, who teaches all aspects of the KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum. My teaching aims to be fun, engaging and precise so that pupils can build confidence and make rapid progress in achieving their goals.

During my time as a Primary School Teacher, I have accumulated a wealth of experience delivering the KS2 Programme of Study to children in preparation to sit the KS2 SATs; children wishing to pass the 11+ Grammar School Test; and children in need of ‘gap filling’ so that they are well prepared for secondary school.

From KS2 number fluency to the Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning 11+ Tests, my tutoring offers a tailored learning journey that allows children to learn and think independently, and flourish academically

“When teaching, I aim to identify what individual children need to do to achieve their goal …”

I am currently working as a Year Six teacher who teaches all aspects of the KS2 National Curriculum. I have developed experience delivering the Year 6 programme of study and preparing children to sit the KS2 National Curriculum Tests. I have been teaching for almost 20 years in a variety of age groups and settings including some time spent teaching overseas.

When teaching, I aim to identify what individual children need to do to achieve their goal whilst guiding and supporting them to develop a secure understanding of concepts.

I am currently studying for a Special Educational Needs accreditation. I have a particular interest in this area and I am passionate about supporting children who have SEND achieve their potential.

“I am hoping to support children with not only their academic abilities…”

I am a Primary School teacher in Cheltenham. I am Head of Year 4 and also Reading Lead within my school however I have experience across KS2 and all subjects. I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a 2:1 as a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education.

I am consistently rated outstanding from my lesson feedbacks and have a good rapport with children. I am hoping to support children with not only their academic abilities but also support rebuilding their confidence and enjoyment for learning following the recent school closures.

“I worked for 12 years in Thailand and Japan, teaching English to students of all ages…”

I’m a qualified teacher with a BA Hons in English Literature and Language and over 20 years’ experience of teaching. After gaining my CELTA in 2000, I worked for 12 years in Thailand and Japan, teaching English to students of all ages, from 2 – 80.

Since returning to Cheltenham with my family in 2012, I have worked at several language schools and was coordinator for pupils EAL for the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance, organising and delivering programs to enable EAL pupils of all abilities to access the curriculum. I was also responsible for supporting pupils with the English papers for the SATs and delivering whole school programs to develop reading for pleasure and spelling.

I am currently teaching English at Pate’s Grammar School, where I continue to support students with their language skills and am perfectly suited to help with the transition from Primary to Secondary school. I also have experience in tutoring the Grammar Test having seen two of my three children undertake this in recent years.

“I ensure each child is engaged, active and interested in learning…”

I have been a teacher for the last 18 years, with experience through Reception to Year 3. I have also enjoyed my role as Head of Foundation Stage which covered Nursery and Reception curriculum lead.

I am passionate about providing children with the foundations needed to develop their learning in all areas, especially Phonics, Reading, English and Maths. I have up to date curriculum knowledge and am keen to actively identify and develop areas of strength and weakness in order to maximise each child’s potential.

I ensure each child is engaged, active and interested in learning by using a range of activities and games, adapted to the individual child’s needs.

We have tutors available for all age groups and abilities. For children who need addition support with their learning (potentially with a My Plan), for children who need their confidence developing or children who need greater challenge. Our tutors are experienced in personalising learning to meet the needs of individual children.
